Studer founded the International Jazz Club in 1953. It consisted of members from many countries all over the worlds, including Denmark, India, England, Argentina, Canada, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Portugal, France, Spain, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Czech Republic, and USA. The IJC frequently was featured in the “Bulletin du Hot Club de France”. The Hot Club de France was founded in Paris, France in 1931 by a group of students with the intention of promoting traditional jazz. Hughes Panassie was one of the founders, and Studer had frequent contact with him.
